Description
Neil Armstrong and Igor Sikorsky Hand-Signed Copy of The Bridgeport Telegram from July 21, 1969on October 29th, 1970 at 12 noon, Neil Armstrong visited Igor Sikorsky in the Administration Building at Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation in Stratford, Connecticut
Neil Armstrong was the commander of the Apollo 11 mission and the first man to set foot on the Moon
Igor Sikorsky was an aviation pioneer, who founded the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation and went on to design the rotor configuration used by most helicopters today
the newspaper, with the headline "Armstrong is First Man on Moon: Calls It A Giant Leap for Mankind," from July 21st, 1969 was brought by reporters from The Bridgeport Telegram to honor the historic meeting between Armstrong and Sikorsky
the newspaper measures approximately 21 inches long x 16.5 inches wide and is approximately 30 inches long x 26 inches wide with the frame (the frame is included)
the newspaper is in very good condition for its age, but, as expected, does show some wear and tear, most notably the upper left hand corner, which has some small tears and is crinkled in various areas largely from age
both Armstrong's and Sikorsky's signatures look great, as does the press signature and description of when and where the meeting took place
please see photos and do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have about this incredible piece of aerospace history
